Paramount Pictures has
released a couple of new television promos for the latest big screen adaptation
of author Lew Wallace's 1880 novel Ben-Hur.
Directed by Timur
Bekmambetov's ("Wanted") this retelling of the biblical epic follows
the story of Judah Ben-Hur (Jack Huston), a
prince falsely accused of treason by his adopted brother Messala (Toby
Kebbell). Stripped of his title, separated from his family and of the woman he
loves (Nazanin Boniadi), Judah is sent into slavery. After years of
working at sea, Judah returns home to seek revenge, but finds redemption.
Set to open
in theaters on August 12, Ben-Hur also stars Pilou Asbaek, Morgan
Freeman, Moises Arias, Ayelet Zurer, and Rodrigo Santoro.
