Phillipa Soo, who
plays Alexander Hamilton's wife Eliza in the 16-time Tony nominated Broadway
musical, has joined the cast of Disney's upcoming feature film animation Moana.
The Tony nominated
actress will play a villager in Moana's home island of Motunui in the South
Pacific.
Directed by Princess
and the Frog writer/director duo Ron Clements and John Musker, the film also

demi-god Maui, and Alan Tudyk in an unknown role.
In the film, Moana, who
is a born navigator, teams-up with her hero Maui in
search of a fabled island.
Soo's Hamilton
co-star and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda is writing the original music for the
animated feature film.
Moana opens in
theaters on November 23.
