Academy Award winning
actress Lupita Nyong'o is in negotiations with Marvel Studios to join Chadwick
Boseman in writer/director Ryan Coogler's ("Creed") Black Panther.
The role for which Nyong'o
is talks has not yet been revealed but it seems that she will be Panther's (Boseman)
love interest.
Black Panther, a.k.a.
T'Challa is the warrior king of Marvel's fictional African nation of Wakanda, a
country rich in vibranium, the same unbreakable material Captain America's
shield is made of.
The character just
made its debut in the Marvel's Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War
to much praise from critics and fans alike.
After winning her
Oscar for 12 Years a Slave in 2013, the still newcomer and at the same time experienced
actress lend her voice to Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book, joined the Star
Wars franchise, and has a biopic titled Queen of Katwe (watch trailer) coming out.
Black Panther opens
in theaters on February 2, 2018.
