Although we all assumed it would be the case, Netflix has officially
announced that Jessica Jones is back on the case, whatever that may be. The renewal
was only a matter of time considering the ratings and reviews, but the lack of
any official word regarding the future of the show left many feeling unease
about Jessica Jones' future.
Jessica Jones is the second series in the deal between Marvel and Netflix
that includes Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron First, and The Defenders. Daredevil is
currently filming the second season, Luke Cage is the next out of the gate, and
the titular Iron Fist is still uncast. The Defenders will be the Avengers of
the Netflix Marvel Universe, in that all four characters, and maybe more, will
team up.
