With rumors, that Mark Ruffalo's next outing as the
Hulk will be in Thor: Ragnarok, a new report has surfaced claiming that in
addition to the Green Goliath's major role in the movie, we could also be seeing
the debut of another character from the Marvel Comics.
According to Birth.Movies.Death, their sources have
confirmed not only that the Hulk will appear in the movie, but also that the
heroine known as Valkyrie, aka Brunnhilde will also be stopping by, and that is
major, since in the comics Valkyrie and her Valkyrior appear over battlefields taking
those worthy of going to Valhalla with them. Could the addition of the
character mean that Thor, Loki, or the Hulk will meet their end in Ragnarok?

The site also adds that Thor: Ragnarok will be
Marvel's darkest movie to date, and that Thor and Hulk will go on a "cosmic
road trip together," which seems to give some weight to most recent rumor about
possibly introducing some story elements of the Planet Hulk storyline.
What gives some credence to the story is that Marvel had
back in early 2014, drawn some plans and concept art, to introduce Valkyrie in Alan
Taylor's Thor: The Dark World, though that clearly never happened.
The trade cautions that between Valkyrie and Captain
Marvel, fans should not be confused if the names of multiple and very similar actresses
start showing up.
What We Do In The Shadows director Taika Waititi is
currently in talks to helm Thor's third standalone movie, which has been
scheduled to hit theaters on November 3, 2017.
