British actress Malanie Liburd has joined the
forthcoming sixth season of HBO's hit fantasy drama, Game of Thrones as one of
the Red Priestesses of R'hollor.
This won't be the first time a Red Priestess appears
in the world of Westeros. Last season Tyrion came across one named Melisandre, played
by Clarice Van Houten, and who as far as we know isn't being replaced, so in
all likelihood Liburd is playing a new character.
Liburd's credits include appearances in The
Grinder, Strike Back, Dracula, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Game of Thrones returns in 2016 on HBO.
