This weekend Wes Anderson
fans were given some pretty interesting and exciting news when it was revealed
that for his next project the filmmaker would be returning to the world of
stop-motion animation after his outstanding Fantastic Mr. Fox.
Obviously, details
about the yet untitled project are being kept under wraps, but what little we
know is that the film will be focus on dogs, and according to some recent
statements given by Jeff Goldblum, it appears that he, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, and Bob Balaban have all been cast to voice a quartet of dogs. Furthermore, Goldblum revealed that the film will be "Japanese-inspired".
Of the four actors,
Cranston is the only one that has yet to work with Anderson. For Goldblum this
project will be his third time working with the filmmaker after roles in Life
Aquatic and The Grand Budapest Hotel. The
stop-motion will also be the third time that Norton and Balaban have collaborated
with the distinctive director. The two previously worked on Moonrise Kingdom and
The Grand Budapest Hotel.
