Speaking to MTV News, Michael Douglas, who is
currently playing Hank Pym in director Peyton Reed's upcoming entry in Marvel's
Cinematic Universe, Ant-Man, revealed that Paul Rudd has worked out so much for
the film that his Ant-Man costume had to be altered. The actor also revealed
that he won't be donning the size-altering suit.
"Paul Rudd is ripped. He’s
been training and working out for this picture for a long time. He was so cut,
that they had to soften his costume up, with all the built-in six-packs and all
of that."
When asked if he'll be wearing a
costume, he stated, "My costume will be hung up and
Paul will be wearing it in good form.”
Slated to open on July 17, 2015, Ant-Man also stars Corey
Stoll, Evangeline Lilly, and David Dastmalchian, John Slattery, Bobby
Cannavale, Michael Peña, Abby Ryder Fortson (Togetherness), Judy Greer, Wood
Harris (Remember the Titans), Gregg Turkington (The Comedy), and T.I. (American
Gangster).
