Since today is Back to
the Future Day, what better day for Fox to announce that they have committed to
do a put pilot to In Time, and time-travel comedy show from the minds of The
Lego Movie and 21 and 22 Jump Street, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and written
by Julius Sharpe (Family Guy).
In Time centers on
three friends, whom try to balance their everyday concerns with being time
travelling adventurers. Lord, Miller, and Sharpe will executive produce
the single-camera sitcom for Fox where Lord and Miller have set-up shop with an
overall deal.
The golden duo are
also set to direct the young Han Solo spinoff for Lucasfilm, an animated TV
show called Son of Zahn with Jason Sudeikis, an adaptation of the popular
podcast Serial, a remake of The Greatest American Action Hero, as well as
developing an animated Spider-Man movie for Sony, and producing the Andy
Samberg comedy Storks, and Chris McKay's LEGO Batman.
