Before Cary Fukunaga was
having creative issues with the re-adaptation of Stephen King's It, and before
Guillermo del Toro had decided to take on DC's Justice League Dark, writer and director Vincenzo
Natali (Cube, Splice) was working on both, or better yet, the filmmaker was
working on a It remake, and a new Swamp Thing adaptation.
Obviously, neither
move forward, but that doesn't mean work wasn't being done.
When Natali came
onboard to direct a Swamp Thing reboot, the project already had a script penned
by Akiva Goldsman, however, it seems that the filmmaker was keen on giving it
his own touch, and he rewrote it, and now he has decided to share four pages
from the unproduced script.
As for the his adaptation
of Stephen King's It, Natali offers some of the concept art he showcased during
a pitch meeting with the studio. The art was done by him and artist Amro Attia
and it looks like Natali was going for a more monstrous Pennywise.
