British actor Tom
Brooke has landed a series regular role in Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg's
upcoming adaptation of Steve Dillon and Garth Ennis' 90's cult comic, Preacher.
The actor, who is
best known for his roles in Sherlock (Bill Wiggins), and Game of Thrones (Lothar
Frey), is set to play Fiore, one of two Adephi angels sent to Earth to retrieve
Genesis, the entity that possessed Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper).
Preacher follows Custer, a conflicted Preacher in a
small Texas town who merges with a creature that has escaped from heaven and
develops the ability to make anyone do anything he says. Along with his
ex-girlfriend, Tulip (Ruth Negga), and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph
Gilgun), Jesse embarks on a journey to find God, and make him answer everything.
Premiering during the 2015/2016 season, Preacher also
stars, Ian Colletti (Arseface), Elizabeth Perkins (Vyla Quinncannon), Lucy
Griffiths (Emily), W. Earl Brown (Sheriff Hugo Root), Jamie Anne Allman (Betsy
Schenck), and Derek Wilson (Donny Schenck).
