20th Century Fox has released a brand new clip from director Gil Kenan's
Poltergeist, which is starting to look like a shot-by-shot remake of Tobe
Hooper's classic 1982 horror film only slightly tweaked and with more CGI.
In this new clip Griffin Bowen played by Kyle Catlett gets toyed by a
possessed toy clown before it jumps him, and the audience.
Produced by Sam Raimi, Poltergeist also stars Sam Rockwell, Rosemary DeWitt,
Jared Harris, Saxon Sharbino, Jane Adams, and Kennedi Clements.
Poltergeist opens on May 22nd.
Legendary filmmaker Sam Raimi (“Spiderman,” “Evil Dead”, “The Grudge”) and
director Gil Kenan (“Monster House”) contemporize the classic tale about a
family whose suburban home is haunted by evil forces. When the terrifying
apparitions escalate their attacks and hold the youngest daughter captive, the
family must come together to rescue her before she disappears forever.
