Here is the first image from the upcoming adaptation of Garth Ennis, and Steve Dillon's cult 90's
Vertigo Comics series Preacher courtesy of Seth Rogen, who co-created the AMC
series with his frequent writing buddy Evan Goldberg.
Preacher follows
Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a conflicted Preacher in a small Texas town who
merges with a creature that has escaped from heaven and develops the ability to
make anyone do anything he says. Along with his ex-girlfriend, Tulip (Ruth
Negga), and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), the three embark on
a journey to find God, and make him answer a few questions.
The image features Custer, and Arseface (Ian Colletti), a
teenager who ends up with a mangled face following a botched suicide attempt.

Premiering during the 2015/2016 season, Preacher also stars, Elizabeth
Perkins (Vyla Quinncannon), Lucy Griffiths (Emily), W. Earl Brown (Sheriff Hugo
Root), Jamie Anne Allman (Betsy Schenck), and Derek Wilson (Donny Schenck).
