Comic book writer Mark Millar has positioned himself has one of the most
prolific authors to have his work adapted onto the big screen. So far his work
has produced such films as Wanted (2008), Kick-Ass (2010), Kick Ass 2 (2013), Kingsman:
The Secret Service (2015), and the upcoming loose adaptation of Civil War, however
the author still has a few titles that are in the pipeline.
Speaking to Red Carpet TV, Millar says he believes that either Starlight
or Chrononauts will be the next ones to be put into production.
"Film wise, probably Starlight will be the next one. Either
Starlight or Chrononauts will be the next thing that gets filmed.
Hopefully at the end of this year. The screenplays are being written
right now."
Like Starlight, and Chrononauts, Millar and artist Steve McNiven's
Nemesis is also on the pipeline for the big screen adaptation, but unlike them,
this adaptation is already finished. Millar reckons that the studio
is looking to see how successful Kingsman does on February 13 when it opens, before
putting Nemesis into production.
"I hope so. They spent a lot of money on the screenplay.
Joe Carnahan wrote it, it's fantastic. I think they're just waiting
to see - I actually think Kingsman could be something that jumpstarts
Nemesis. The screenplay is sitting there...they're probably waiting to
see how Kingsman does and then maybe something will happen from there. But the script
is finished."
