Bros. TV has announced that DC character General Matthew Shrieve will be
joining the second part of the third season of Arrow. "In the DC Comics,
Matthew Shrieve is the leader of a group known as the Creature Commandos. In
'Arrow' he will play a significant role in the latter portion of the season's
flashback storyline."

Book Resources has the exclusive and they say that actor Marc Singer (Beastmaster
and V) is set to play the character created in 1980 by writer J.M. De Matteis
and artist Pat Broderick. The site adds that it will be a recurring role set
for a debut in the 14th episode of the season.
Given
the show's "grounded" approach to the genre it's unlikely that the
creatures (Frankenstein, Vampire, Gorgon, Werewolf) themselves will appear,
however The Flash has changes all that so who knows.
