It looks like Universal is really
keen on having their Classic Monsters shared cinematic universe taken off the
ground as soon as possible. The studio already has one entry in their CMCU (classic
monsters cinematic universe), this year's Dracula Untold, and we know that Alex
Kurtzman, who is overseeing the CMCU is planning to helm The Mummy reboot, and now
according to Deadline Prisoners scribe Aaron Guzikowski is being courted by the
studio to pen The Wolf Man reboot.
"The studio is going hard to
revive its classic monsters franchises–I’m hearing that Prisoners scribe Aaron Guzikowski is being
courted to get the Wolf Man howling again, after Uni rebooted The Mummy"
In more monster related content, Fargo's
(TV) executive producer Noah Hawley was previously announced to be penning on
other movie in the franchise, and was recently revealed that an unknown movie
in the franchise is set to open on April 21, 2017, Wolf Man perhaps?
