It looks like the gears on Fox's Gambit movie are
finally moving forward. According to Deadline Robocop scribe, Josh Zetumer was
hired to pen the script based on the draft written by Chris Claremont, who
created the character back in the 90's with Jim Lee. They also say that Channing
Tatum is now officially onboard to lead the film as Remy Etienne LeBeau, aka
Gambit the Ragin' Cajun.
Tatum, Simon Kinberg, and Lauren Shuler Donner are
producing what is expected to be the first adaptation of the character since
Taylor Kitsch in Gavin Hood's 2009 X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
