One of the cool things about Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
is their connectivity to whatever happens on the big screen. There have been a
number of crossover episodes, so it wouldn't be a huge surprise if at the end
of the second season, our team of runaway agents would have to clean up the
mess of Age of Ultron, or fight some remnants of Ultron's forces.
"Everything is connected, sometimes more so than
other times. Obviously Coulson was born out of the films, and we can only hope
to have that sort of impact in the other direction, but right now, we're just
trying to make everybody as cool and interesting as we can," says executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen in an interview
to TV Line.
The executive producer went on to say that the
characters need to hit a milestone in the second season.
"All
of us are aware of the moving parts at all times. With that said, there are
many opportunities for planting things that… end up in other things. Let's put
it this way: In the second season, there's definitely a milestone that
everybody needs to hit."
It would be strange if they didn't at least acknowledge
whatever happens on Age of Ultron, especially considering the success of the
last crossover.
What do you guys think?
