Warner Bros. big screen adaptation of Tarzan seems to
be moving along after the production was put on hold due to budget issues. The project
started moving again after some months of delay and there were rumors that
Christoph Waltz was in talks to play the villain opposite Alexander Skarsgard
as Tarzan. Now Variety s reporting that Samuel L. Jackson is currently in talks
to appear in the film, that The Wolf of Wall Street star Margot Robbie is the
strongest contender to play Jane and that Waltz already sign on to play the
villain.
Samuel L. Jackson was first connected to the project
before it was put on hold. At that time the actor was being eyed to play a Civil
War veteran who was desperate to redeem himself for his part in the massacre of
the Native Americans.
At this time it’s unclear when production will start
or when the film will be released.
