DC Comics has officially announced a second weekly series, which will take their characters five years into the future. The New series titled The New 52: Futures End, the series was created and written by Jeff Lemire, Keith Giffen, Brian Azzarello and Dan Jurgens.
"Really, what we're trying to do with this book
is to explore the nature of what a hero is and we're doing that, obviously by
playing with the future of the New 52 timeline," said Lemire to the
Associated Press.
The story will be centered on three specific
characters, Firestorm, Frankenstein and Batman Beyond as the comic series will
focus on the Past, Present and Future of the DC Universe.
The first issue will be available on Free Comic Book
Day with art by Ethan Van Sciver.
