Over
the last couple or so years the subject of a new Ghostbusters film has popped
up from time to time, with hope fueling rumors that never went anywhere, even
some of the former cast helped such fuelling by promising that a new film was
just around the corner, regardless of
such talk be based on truth or not.
"It's
based on new research that's being done in particle physics by the young men
and women at Columbia University... Basically, there's research being done that
I can say that the world or the dimension that we live in, our four planes of
existence, length, height, width and time, become threatened by some of the
research that's being done. Ghostbusters -- new Ghostbusters -- have to come
and solve the problem." said
actor Dan Aykroyd previously.
Well
it seems that today is again one of those days. According to WKYC, a Ohio
affiliate of NBC Cleveland, filming on the new installment will take place in
2014.
"More
movie projects are on the way. One being the sequel to "Ghostbusters"
as Sony has penciled in spring 2014 date to start shooting the third
installment here in Cleveland."
Columbia
Pictures who owns the property said that at this point there is nothing to
report.
Yesterday
Schmoes Know broke out a news piece, in which they say that they "have it on good
authority that none other than Jonah Hill and Emma Stone have been offered the
parts of Jeremy and Anna respectively."
Again,
just a rumored that wasn't confirmed by anyone.
