When earlier this week it was announced that Marvel Studios and director Edgar Wright had had meetings with JGL and Paul Rudd for the lead role in the upcoming Ant-Man, internet buzz went crazy with some cheering for Rudd and others for JGL. Now it seems that a new player as joined the club, actor Jamie Bell.
According
to the rumor, someone working on the Ant-Man film, and that worked with Bell on
Tin Tin said that the actor also had meetings and tested for Ant-Man.
Another
rumor places actress Rashida Jones in the preeminent spot to play Ant-Man’s
love interest Janet van Dyne. The rumor then goes on to say that we won’t be
seeing the Wasp just yet, instead the character transformation into the Wasp
will be hinted at, which could mean that she could end up in The Avengers 3.
When
asked about JGL being associated with Guardians of the Galaxy before and now
with Ant-Man, Marvel Studio boss Kevin Feige said:
“Well,
sometimes it's because we are legitimately talking, and sometimes it's just
because he's a prominent actor out there now. And lots of rumors surround
prominent actors.”
And
Paul Rudd:
“Well,
nothing is true yet. I like Paul Rudd, too.”
So
