Now that production has been wrapped on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, we are one step closer to see not only the first Marvel film set mostly in space but also some new characters that most people aren’t too familiar with, among them, the gun blazing Rocket Raccoon.
In a
recent interview to Access Hollywood, actor Chris Pratt, who stars in the film
as Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord talked Rocket Raccoon.
“You
think it’s a cartoon character, but it’s not, it’s a very real creature,” Pratt
said. ”[Rocket Raccoon has been] tortured his whole life and no one else likes
him, so he’s lonely and he’s angry and it’s like, [there are] all these
elements [to the character]. You sort of forget about that, you wouldn’t think
about, [and] hopefully will come to life. I think it will and that’s why they
hired a really good actor to do the role.”
Guardians
of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Rooker, Ophelia
Lovibond, Benicio Del Toro, Lee Pace, Karen Gillan, Djimon Honsou, Gregg Henry,
Glenn Close and John C. Reilly and opens on August 1st, 2014.
