If Marvel rules the big screen DC Comics certainly reigns in the small one. Earlier this week it was announced that Fox was bringing the Batman inspired Gotham to TV, and now it seems that John Constantine is also heading to the small screen.
According
to THR, David S. Goyer (Batman Begins and Man of Steel) and Daniel Cerone (The
Mentalist) are currently writing the script for the pilot.
The
character was created by Alan Moore and first appeared in 1985 on Swam Thing,
after which he got his own title, Hellblazer.
The
character was also brought to the big screen by director Francis Lawrence and
was played by actor Keanu Reeves.
Director
Guillermo del Toro said earlier this year he was working on a script, which
includes Constantine, Dark Universe.
