Man Of Steel Easter Eggs – Massive Spoiler Alert

Let’s begin with,

“It is our intention that, in success, [Man of Steel] would be the zero issue and from this point onward, possible films could expand into a shared universe. In our world, the Man of Steel world, Zack has gone on record saying that we’re implying there are other superheroes in this world. But I don’t know that they’ve come forward yet. The idea is that Superman is the first one. There might be people helping people, but not in costumes, and that Superman comes forward and announces himself to the world. In him announcing himself, he’s the one that changes things.”

David S. Goyer to AICN

Logos:
1.LexCorp
The most famous one is the LexCorp sign that appears three times in the film. The first time is on top of a building and the second time is painted on the side of an oil tanker that is used has a weapon during the fight between Zod and Superman and the least memorable one is when adult Clark goes to visit Martha and the LexCorp sign is on the side of the bus that drops him there.

2.Wayne Enterprises
The Wayne Enterprises logo or at least part of it is seen when Zod and Superman fight in space and use a satellite has a baseball bat, confirming that Burce Wayne, aka Batman is part of this World.

3.Blaze Comics
This one is more of a fun thing to put in and not necessarily a prediction of things to come. During a ferocious fight between Superman and Zod the logo of Blaze Comics is seen far away in a building. Blaze Comics is the publisher of the time travelling superhero Booster Gold.

Characters:
1.Lana Lang
Lana Lang is only seen in Clark’s flashbacks of his childhood and teenage years. The only significant part she plays in the film is when she catches young Clark rescuing the students inside the bus, by lifting the school bus from the water.

2.Supergirl, aka Kara Zor-ElThis one is more tricky. When Superman first stumbles upon the Kryptonian scouting ship and discovers the cryotubes. If you look closely all are occupied with skeletons but one is empty and has the door opened, and although it doesn’t say specifically that it belongs to Superman’s cousin, Deborah Snyder and David S. Goyer had this to say on the matter:

Snyder:
“You know what’s interesting, and I don’t know and I’m not going to say what it means or anything, but the one thing if you look closely when Henry’s going through the Fortress of Solitude there’s an empty… you know all the bodies… the pods? There’s an empty pod. I’m not going to say what, or if, it means anything but there is an empty pod there.”

Goyer:
“I will say that I did intentionally leave some loose ends, not as sequel bait, but just because I thought they were interesting. I don’t know if anyone that’s viewed the film has picked up on this yet, but when Clark goes into the scout ship, which sort of becomes the Fortress of Solitude, you see four cryogenic sarcophagi for the crew that piloted that ship 18,000 or 20,000 years ago. There’s a shot there – and, it’s funny, at one point Zack took it out, but I cried ‘Uncle!’, and he put it back in. But you see there are four pods: three of them have skeletons in them, but one is open and there is no skeleton. Zack had missed it the first time he read the script. I pointed it out to him, and he was like, ‘Okay, that’s interesting. That’s an interesting loose end.’”

3.Cyborg
“We make a reference to S.T.A.R. Labs at one point, that’s kind of a connection to Cyborg.”

While the character isn’t pointed out in the film the lab that created him is, S.T.A.R. Labs. In an interview to MTV, Goyer said:

4.Carol Ferris, aka Star Sapphire
In the film Carol Ferris is a military officer and what is cool about this character is that she is not a main character making a cameo in this world, she is a side villain/hero in the Green Lantern series.
