According to the latest info JP4 just had its
release date pushed due to script issues, apparently the director, Colin
Trevorrow and Safety Not Guaranteed wirter Derek Connolly were re-writing the
script and according to some sources, the changes made the film so much more
ambitious and epic that the studio was planning for, so instead of risking
making a half-baked job they decided to postpone the release date.
According to the Universal Studios press
release, they just want to make “another great chapter in the franchise”.
Press Release:
In coordination with
filmmakers, Universal has decided to release Jurassic Park 4 at a later date
giving the studio and filmmakers adequate time to bring audiences the best
possible version of the fourth installment in Universal's beloved franchise. We
could not be more excited about the vision that Colin Trevorrow has created for
this film, and we look forward to watching as he and the producers create
another great chapter in this franchise's storied history.
So
what this means is that fans need to wait a little bit longer forJurassic Park
4, at least they had the common sense to delay to film instead of just rushing
it just so could meet their release date.
