For fans of Jurassic Park today is a bad day,
apparently Jurassic Park 4 has stopped all production and according to tweets
all those working on JP4 have been let go as of today.
According to tweets done by crew members of
Jurassic Park 4 the movie is on hold and everybody has been set home and
according to Jack Horner, the resident Paleontologist hired for JP4, the film
has been put on hold or canceled, due to both script problems and a decision
done by Universal Studios not to compete with the release of both Jurassic Park
and The Lost World in 3D.
The tweets you are about to see are anonymous
because we don’t want any backslash for the members of the crew:
"JP4 On Hold"
"Hollywood creates
and crushes dreams. Goodbye JP4"
"it IS on hold but we were all let go
today."
No word from Frank Marshall, who a couple of
weeks ago assured, fans that everything was ok and from the director Colin
Trevorrow who last week took a picture of a location and said that it was Isla Nublar.
According to IGN “A "reliable source" close to Jurassic Park4 movie claims
Jurassic Park 4 is still in production but has been put on a temporary hiatus
while some restructuring goes on behind the scenes. This restructuring seems to
involve lay-offs to the production team but Colin Trevorrow is still supposed
be in the director's chair.”
It’s hard to believe that both of them were
unaware of such decision, something smells fishy. A project of this size doesn’t
simply vanish into thin air. What do you think?
