The new post apocalyptic zombie action movie, starring Brad Pitt, directed by Marc Foster (Finding Neverland and 007: Quantum of Solace) and based on the book by Max Brooks, World War Z got a new action packed and plot developing international trailer. Now for the fans of the book the movie might not seem very accurate, since the book is more like a diary than anything else, it recollects 10 years of living in this zombie post apocalyptic world, through different people and their accounts. The book covers not only the endless fights against hordes of zombies, but also the envioremental, religious and geopolitical changes that occured in this ten year space of the Zombie War. So the movie is going to be a litlle diferent from the book, but lets wait and see how much.
World War Z at first glance seems to be a little different from your typical zombie movies, in which the characters all seam to fight their way through the zombies in order to get to some sort of promise land were they can live the rest of their lives in safe and peace. What this movie than offers is the not only surviving and getting everyone to safe but also to uncover the truth behind the zombies (how they were created?, who created them?, can they be cured? and if not how to wipe them out?). Stupid as it seems, this idea has never really used in zombie movies, the only one that i can think of is the Resident Evil movies with the simplistic T-Virus, nonetheless let's hope that the origins of zombies will be given some thought and closure has the trailer suggests.
