For all the diehard fans out there of the Mass Effect series the idea of Comander Shepard dieing in the third instalment of the game was very upsetting, but now the idea that not only is he, but also the whole crew of the Normandy SR2 is just infuriating. Acording to BioWare the leading studio behind the Mass Effect triology and countless other games the new Mass Effect will be a clean slate, "fresh and new", according to Bioware excutive producer Casey Hudson during a PAX East presentation. He also said:
"We are starting to get ready to develop another Mass Effect game and it's going to be a new thing,"
"We want to be able to give fans an opportunity to get back into the world with these things you've come to know and love about the Mass Effect experience, but start something fresh and new; a new way for you to explore the whole universe in Mass Effect."
During the presentation at PAX East, Casey Hudson also talked about the very anticipated Mass Effect movie.
"Hopefully it should be seen as a good thing," Hudson said of the movie. "Because what we're looking at are, I think, the right things to make sure it's going to be great. It's not just going to be a movie. It's going to be really special."
In addition to all this he left something in the air, he said that BioWare is working on a completly new intelectual property, while not giving much Casey said he hoped that it would follow the trajectory of the Mass Effect series.
"That's kind of our next thing. We're focusing on delivering something new, the way we did at the very beginning of Mass Effect,"
