Two-time Emmy-winning
actor Bradley Whitford is jumping on to the kaiju train. The actor has signed
on to star in the upcoming Godzilla sequel, Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
Michael Dougherty is
directing from a script he penned alongside Max Borenstein and Zach Shield.
Plot details are
being kept under wraps, but Whitford joins Thomas Middleditch, Vera Farmiga,
Kyle Chandler, Millie Bobby Brown, Sally Hawkins, O'Shea Jackson Jr., and Ken
Watanabe.
Known for his role in
The West Wing, Whitford's credits also include The Cabin in the Woods, Scent of
a Woman, Transparent, and Get Out.
Godzilla: King of the
Monsters is part of Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros.' monster cinematic
universe, which also includes King Kong.
The movie is set to
open in theaters on March 22, 2019.
