With production currently
underway in the U.K., director J.A. Bayona has shared the first image from the yet
untitled Jurassic World 2.
In itself, the image doesn't
reveal much of anything, however it does (hopefully) establish a visual mood.
Bayona steps in for Colin
Trevorrow, who is busy prepping the yet untitled Star Wars: Episode IX, which
prevented him from returning and helming the Jurassic World sequel.
Trevorrow and his writing partner
Derek Connolly wrote the script for the follow-up, which Trevorrow is producing
with Frank Marshall.
Opening in theaters on June
22, 2018, Jurassic World 2 stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, BD Wong,
Toby Jones, Justice Smith, Ted Levine, Rafe Spall, James Cromwell, and
Geraldine Chaplin.
