Frozen star Josh Gad has joined Kenneth
Branagh's upcoming big screen remake of Agatha Christie's popular novel Murder on
the Orient Express.
The actor will play Hector McQueen, a nervous and jumpy man who drinks more
than he should but has a way with languages and works for the vile Mr. Ratchett.
Adapted by Blade Runner 2 scribe Michael Green, Murder
on the Orient Express also stars Branagh as Hercule Poirot,
Johnny Depp as Mr. Ratchett, Daisy Ridley as Mary Debenham,
Michelle Pfeiffer as Mrs. Hubbard, Judi Dench as Princess Dragomiroff, Michael
Peña as Marquez, Lucy Boynton as Countess Andrenyi, Miranda Raison as Sonia
Armstrong, Leslie Odom Jr. as Dr. Constantine, and Derek Jacobi as Edward
Masterman.
Ridley Scott, Simon Kinberg, and Mark Gordon are
producing with James Prichard, the author’s great-grandson and chairman of
Agatha Christie Ltd., and Hilary Strong, CEO at Agatha Christie Ltd., executive
producing.
