It seems like Rick
Famuyiwa has narrowed down his search for the female lead in The Flash feature film.
According to Variety,
Famuyiwa's top choice for the role in the superhero movie is none other
than his Dope star Kiersey Clemons.
The Flash stars Ezra
Miller, who made his debut as the supersonic character in Zack Snyder's Batman
v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Famuyiwa takes over Seth
Grahame-Smith who left the project after a creative rift between him and the
studio arose.
It is unclear what
role Clemons's name is being associated to, but sources close to the project
say it is likely to be Iris West, a strong reporter and close friend of Barry
Allen, a.k.a. The Flash.
Warner Bros. is
keeping Smith's most recent draft of the script, which is based on a treatment
by The Lego Movie directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord.
The Flash is expected
to start production sometime this year to meet the 2018 deadline.
Besides Dope, Clemons'
credits include Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising and the acclaimed Amazon original
series Transparent. The actress is currently filming the Flatliners remake.
