Tyne Daly ("Cagney & Lacey", "Judging Amy") has
joined the cast of Jon Watts' upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming for Sony Pictures
and Marvel Studios.
What role the six-time Emmy Award winning actress will play in the movie is
still unknown, but she joins Tom Holland in the titular role, Robert Downey Jr.
as Iron Man, Michael Keaton as the Vulture, and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May.
The ensemble cast also includes Tony Revolori, Donald Glover, Martin Starr,
Abraham Attah, Zendaya, Logan Marshall-Green, Kenneth Choi, and Michael
Barbieri.
The Tony Award winning actress is also known for her roles on the acclaimed
Hello, My Name Is Doris, The Magnificent Seven (TV), The Nanny, Quincy M.E.,
and Swamp Thing.
Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige and former Sony Pictures head Amy Pascal are
producing.
Spider-Man: Homecoming opens in theaters on July 7, 2017.
