The more you keep
something a secret the more people want to know about it, and Lucasfilm knows
this better than any studio.
Just as with J.J.
Abrams' The Force Awakens, Lucasfilm has been keeping the official title for
Rian Johnson's Star Wars: Episode VIII a closely guarded secret, but, with Star
Wars Celebration Europe just around the corner, it seems someone caught wind of
something they shouldn't, a poster for the film.
To be clear, until Lucasfilm
makes an official announcement, the following shouldn't be considered real, but...
Spoilers!
Star Wars: The Fall
of the Resistance is the title, and it certainly promises to follow the
narrative threads left dangling from The Force Awakens, which saw the
Resistance led by General Leia destroy Starkiller Base, but also take a heavy
blow with Han Solo's death, and the destruction of the Republic. Furthermore, Rey
has gone off on her own adventure, Finn injured, and Luke though found, does
not seem willing to return.
To be held this July
in London, Celebration Europe is expected include several highly anticipated announcements
and teases for everything Star Wars including Johnson's Episode VIII, Rogue One:
A Star Wars Story, and Rebels.
