AMC has released a
new clip for Seth Rogen and
Evan Goldberg's upcoming adaptation of Preacher, a '90s Vertigo Comics series created by Garth Ennis and
Steve Dillon.
The clip features Ruth Negga as
Tulip O'Hare having a vicious and intense fight inside an out of control car. For
Negga, Preacher is the second comic book based project she has been a part off
following Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., where she played Raina, the Hydra
operative turned Inhuman.
The series
follows Custer (Dominic Cooper), a conflicted preacher in a small Texas town
who is inhabited by a
mysterious entity that allows him to develop a highly unconventional power.
Jesse, his ex-girlfriend, Tulip, and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph
Gilgun) embark on a journey to, literally, find God.

Premiering Sunday,
May 22 after the midseason finale of Fear the Walking Dead, Preacher also stars Ian
Colletti (Arseface), Elizabeth Perkins (Vyla Quinncannon), Jackie Earl Haley
(Odin Quinncannon), Lucy Griffiths (Emily), W. Earl Brown (Sheriff Hugo Root),
Jamie Anne Allman (Betsy Schenck), Derek Wilson (Donny Schenck), and Tom Brooke
(Fiore).
