Academy Award Winning actress Charlize Theron has
signed on to star in F. Gary Gray's (Straight Outta Compton) Fast & Furious
8, which has been scheduled to go into production next month for a April 14,
2017 release.
Theron, who in the past starred in Gray's The Italian
Job remake, was at one point reported as being in talks to play the lead
villainess role in the high-octane sequel, however, it is unclear on what side
of the law her character feels more at home.
Reprising their roles from previous installments are Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason
Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Kurt Russell, and Lucas Black.

Also
joining the franchise is Game of Thrones' Kristofer Hivju, who
plays Tormund Giantsbane in the HBO series. He will play the lead henchman to
Theron (supposedly).
