The Fox Broadcasting
Company has given a series orders to 24: Legacy, the next chapter in the
groundbreaking and award-winning action series franchise.
Starring Corey
Hawkins ("Straight Outta Compton") as Eric Carter, a strong and smart
former Army Ranger, 24: Legacy chronicles an adrenaline-fueled race against the
clock to stop a devastating terrorist attack on United States soil, and uses the
same real-time format that has propelled this genre-defining series.
24: Legacy also stars
Miranda Otto, Jimmy Smits, Anna Diop, Sheila
Vand, Teddy Sears, Dab Bucatinsky, and Ashley Thomas.
Premiering in the
upcoming 2016-2017 season, 24: Legacy is a 20th Century Fox Television and Imagine Television production
in association with Teakwood Lane Productions. Howard Gordon, Brian Grazer,
Manny Coto, Evan Katz and Kiefer Sutherland are executive producers.
Coto and Katz wrote the pilot script, which was directed by Stephen Hopkins, who will also serve as executive producer on the pilot and series. The original series was created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran.
