Office co-creator and British comedian Stephen
Merchant is the latest addition to the cast of director James
Mangold's yet untitled Wolverine sequel.
Details on Merchant's
character are under lock and key, but taking into account his career history, it would be
reasonable to assume that he will be the comic relief in the movie.
Merchant joins Hugh
Jackman as the titular character, Patrick Stewart as the X-Men leader Professor
X, Boyd Holbrook as the main villain, and Richard E. Grant as a villainous mad
scientist.
The Wolverine 3 will be the last time Jackman will put
on the adamantium claws and shred enemies to pieces. The Academy Award
nominated actor announced last year that he intends to end his memorable seventeen-year
long run playing the iconic character with this Wolverine sequel.

by Lauren Shuler Donner and Hutch Parker, Wolverine 3 is set to start filming
this coming May for a March 3, 2017 release.
