20th Century Fox has released
a villain centric poster for Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse that features the
titular villain played by Oscar Isaac, as well as his Four Horseman, Magneto (Michael
Fassbender), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Archangel (Ben Hardy), and Psylocke (Olivia
Munn).
In X-Men: Apocalypse an ancient and powerful mutant (Isaac)
will try to cleanse humankind and create a new world order, over which he will
reign, and it is up to Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) and Mystique (Jennifer
Lawrence) to lead a new team of mutants into battle over the survival of the
planet.
Opening in theaters on May 27, X-Men: Apocalypse also
stars Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Evan Peters, Lucas Till, Tye Sheridan, Sophie
Turner, Lana Candor, Kodi Smit-McPhee,
Josh Helman, and Tómas Lemarquis.
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a
god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men
universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and
invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with
the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a
disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new
world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the
balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy)
must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind
from complete destruction.
