No Stephen Lang has
not been cast in the role, but if 20th Century Fox is searching for someone to play Cable then they
should look no further.
The Avatar actor has
shared a picture on his Twitter page saying that he is physically ready to play
Cable in the Deadpool sequel.
Lang is the latest actor
to have his name thrown into the hat to play the character. Other names include
Liam Neeson and Jon Hamm.
Spoiler Alert!
Cable himself does
not appear, but Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool called out the character in one of the
after-credits scenes in the movie, so be sure to stick around after the movie
is over.
Let's lay some CABLE. You know I want it. This is pre-training. Thanks for spreading the word. #Deadpool pic.twitter.com/jI1Y1i0oH0— Stephen Lang (@IAmStephenLang) 13 fevereiro 2016
Here is a @IAmStephenLang cable for the weekend @deadpoolmovie @VancityReynolds pic.twitter.com/5r0No66A0e— BossLogic (@Bosslogic) 14 fevereiro 2016
Created in mid 80's by Rob Liefeld and Louise Jones Simonson, Cable is the
son of X-Men leader Cyclopse and Madelyne Pryor, a clone of Jean Grey. His
powers (some via gadgets) include astral projection, blast power, force fields,
levitation, precognition, super strength, technopathy, telekinesis, telepathy,
time travel, and teleportation.
Besides Avatar,
Lang's credits include roles in Salem, Terra Nova, In Plain Sight, and Into the
Badlands.
20th Century Fox hasn't
officially announced a Deadpool sequel, but all the signs point that way.
