Throughout her career, Judd received many awards and nominations for roles in both TV and film, including one Golden Globe nomination in 1997 for Norma Jean & Marilyn, and another one for De-Lovely in 2004.

Most recently, Judd appeared in the Divergent and Dolphin Tale's franchise as well as Olympus Has Fallen.

New Twin Peaks cast additions also include Amanda Seyfried, Naomi Watts, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Laura Dern, Robert Knepper, James Belushi, Tom Sizemore, Balthazar Getty, Grant Goodeve, Larry Clarke and Caleb Landry Jones.

On the returning cast members front, star Kyle MacLachlan is reportedly being joined by Sheryl Lee, Sherilyn Fenn, Mädchen Amick, Michael Horse, Dana Ashbrook and Miguel Ferrer, Ray Wise, Grace Zabriskie, Peggy Lipton and Everett McGill.

Lynch and series co-creator Mark Frost are set appear in the revival miniseries. Lynch will reprise his role from the original series, while Frost will have a cameo. This will not be Frost's first time in front of the cameras. Back in the original show, he had an uncredited role as a TV newscaster. Also joining the show is Frost senior. The 90-year-old actor Warren Frost (Mark's father) will reprise his role as Dr. Will Hayward from the '90s show. Frost senior credits include appearances on Psycho IV: The Beginning, Matlock, and Seinfeld.

The Twin Peaks revival is expected to air in the first half of 2017 with 18 new episodes.
