With the year about to end, studios are giving one
final push to promote some of their biggest and most anticipated movies of
2016, like for example DreamWorks and their upcoming threequel Kung Fu Panda 3,
Universal Pictures' R-rated comedy sequel Neighbors 2, and their fourth
installment in the Matt Damon Bourne franchise.
In the yet untitled Bourne sequel "there's been the financial collapse, the great recession, all these issues of cyberwarfare and civil liberties," and "we find [Bourne] in a dark and tortured place," revealed Damon to Entertainment Weekly.
The fifth movie in the overall franchise is directed by Paul Greengrass also stars Julia Stiles, Alicia Vikander, Tommy Lee Jones, Vincent Cassel, Scott Shepherd, Ato Essandoh, and Riz Ahmed, and opens on July 29.
For Neighbors 2, Universal has also decided to release
an image, and it features Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Rose Byrne, Ike Barinholtz,
and Carla Gallo.
The
sequel sees Rogen and Byrne's character taking on a sorority lead by Chloe
Grace Moretz and Selena Gomez because "it’s like a glimpse into their
daughter’s future, and it terrifies them."
Directed by Nicholas
Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), Neighbors 2 also stars Dave Franco, Lisa Kudrow, Billy Eichner, and
opens on May 20.
Not
wanting to be left behind, DreamWorks also unveiled a new image from Kung Fu
Panda 3, which features Jack Black's Po and James Hong's Mr. Ping.
Opening on January 29, Kung Fu Panda 3 also stars
Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, David Cross, Lucy Liu, Dustin Hoffman,
J.K. Simmons, Kate Hudson, Bryan Cranston, and Randall Duk Kim.
