Star Trek: The Next Generation star Wil Wheaton has joined the upcoming
second season of the PlayStation Network exclusive series, Powers.
The actor, who is also known for his roles in The Big Bang Theory and
webseries such as TableTop and Titansgrave, will play a yet unknown character,
who Brian Michael Bendis, the co-creator of the comic in which the series is
adapted from, describes as "exciting, mysterious, and powerful."
The second season of Powers follows the Who Killed Retro Girl? story from
the comics, in which the Powers Division investigates the murder of the super
famous superhero Retro Girl, played by Michelle Forbes.
Returning in 2016 with Sharlto
Copley and Susan Heyward reprising their roles, Powers will also star newcomers
Michael Madsen, William Mapother, and Tricia Helfer.
