With the premiere of the
second season of Gotham quickly approaching, Fox continues to tease the
mysterious cave that according to star David Mazouz (Bruce Wayne) will significantly
change his life. "It changes everything in Bruce’s life," Mazouz told TV
Insider. "It changes how he sees Alfred, the criminal side of Gotham, even
how he sees his parents."
However, the actor
cautions that what we are seeing isn't the iconic lair of the Batman.
"It’s definitely
not the Batcave," Mazouz adds. "What is down there are clues to
Thomas Wayne’s secret life and what he was trying to do before being killed."
Whether the actor is
misdirecting or telling the truth remains to be seen, but it could very well
be, like everything else on the show, a pre-batcave, or something that inspires
Bruce to build his own further down the line.
Gotham returns on September 21.
