Last month, we reported that
Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures had approached Marisa Tomei with a role.
Apparently, the Academy Award winning actress had been offered the Aunt May
role opposite Tom Holland in Jon Watts upcoming Spider-Man reboot.
Now, it seems that not only
has the actress officially signed on to play the part, but she has already
stretched her Aunt May legs. According to Heroic Hollywood, Tomei was spotted delivering
some lines as Peter Parker's aunt on the set of Joe and Anthony Russo's Captain
America: Civil War.
The sighting of the actress
confirms earlier reports claiming that she would be making her MCU debut on
Civil War, and I would guess that her part in the movie is somehow related to
last week's photo of furniture props from Peter's bedroom.
Captain America: Civil War opens on May 6, 2016.
