Back in May, ABC announced that they had decided not to proceed with the planed
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff series, which would focus on Adrianne
Palicki's Mockingbird and Nick Blood's Lance Hunter characters.
Now, according to Variety, it seems that the network was so keen in
developing a series around those two characters that they have ordered a pilot.
Titled, Marvel's Most Wanted, the project was described by insiders as an
"entirely
new project solely focused on the two characters to continue their story" rather
than a spinoff, though I'm not seeing the difference.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
producers Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski co-created the project, and
besides acting as its showrunners, they will also executive produce it
alongside Marvel’s head of television Jeph Loeb.
