Wearing Peggy
Carter's iconic red hat, Jeph Loeb walked out onto the Comic-Con stage to introduce showrunners
Michele Fazekas, Tara Butters, and Chris Dingess, as well as stars Hayley
Atwell, who asked for her hat back, and James D'Arcy for the Marvel's Agent Carter panel.
- The music heard in
Marvel's Agent Carter will be released for purchase this Fall.
- Agent Carter is the
only live-action show actually made by Marvel Studios.
- Loeb asked Fazekas
and Butters what was it like for them now that show has become widely
recognized, to which they replied that it was nice walking around the
convention floor with Atwell and see people getting excited for the show, and
seeing fans cosplay as the character. The showrunners also said they love the
fanart created and the online fandom. Fazekas then said that, "it's the
best job we've ever had", to which Atwell replied "me too!"
- D'Arcy talked about
getting the script for the first episode and being apprehensive because it
asked the actor to make soufflé, which he cannot despite being able to make a
perfect spotted dick, "so we had a long conversation about that, then they
explained to me what acting is."
- The actor also told
a funny story about he was excited for Jarvis to go on missions with Peggy and
kick some ass, but sadly he was mistaken.
- D'Arcy also
revealed that he was initially unsure if he could pull off Jarvis' comedic
parts. "Having read the script, it was so
funny what they had already written for Jarvis. And I’ve never actually had an
opportunity to do anything comedic on film before. And I wasn’t at all sure
that I could do it. But it turns out all I had to do is be my usual wallian
(ie.dorky) self, and it would work out just fine."
- Season 2 is 10 episodes
long.
- Atwell said that
the only reason Carter was able to make the change from the big screen to the
small one was due to the quality of the writing, which helped her bring out
more nuances of the character.
- Loeb then
remembered a story about how Atwell had to go the Marvel offices to read the
first episode, and she had all these questions and requests for the character. "Well
I just loved her, and I really hoped that the writers would get her
right," added Atwell. "I was really adamant about that. And I think I
just came out, after that first time, going ‘Ahhhh, she’s amazing!’ And I had nothing to say but compliments."

- The Q&A portion
of the panel offered some additional details about the new season like the fact
that the show will be set six months after the events of the first season.
- Though Peggy will
be moving to Hollywood, Jarvis and Stark are already there, and they have
established a new Beverly Hills estate as well as a new contract with the government.
Additionally "as a hobby", Stark has opened a movie studio.
- Unlike the first
season, we might actually get to see Jarvis' wife.
- Despite being set
in Hollywood during the 1940's don't expect to see many familiar faces of that time
walking around, however, there will be a lot of location shooting since many
building and iconic landmarks haven't change that much.
- Finally, now that
Peggy has put Steve's memory to rest, there might a couple of romantic
opportunities.
