Warcraft, Pacific Rim 2 & More Get Delayed

Universal Pictures is on a roll with release dates announcements. After revealing the release dates for Furious 8 and the Fifty Shade of Grey sequels, the studio has now announced new release dates for Duncan Jones adaptation of Blizzard's World of Warcraft video game, Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim 2, and Alex Kurtzman's The Mummy.

Jones's Warcraft, which was initially scheduled to premiere on March 11, 2016 will now open on June 10, opposite Now You See Me 2, The Conjuring 2, and another videogame adaptation, Uncharted.

Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim 2 has been re-scheduled to now open on August 4, 2017 instead of its initial April release date. With the exception of the Sony/Marvel Spider-Man standalone a week before, the sequel doesn't have much opposition.

As for Kurtzman's The Mummy, it has been pushed back 9 months, from June 2016 to March 24, 2017.

Finally, Doug Liman's true story about the Iran-Contra scandal and the rise of the Medellin cartel, Mena starring Tom Cruise has been schedule to hit theaters on January 6, 2017. Red flag anyone?
