Possible Spoilers: Captain Marvel Won't Appear In Avengers: Age of Ultron But…

Over the last year, there have been countless reports, and scoops claiming that Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel would appear in Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron, not as a central character, but in a cameo, which laid out the path for the 2018 standalone film.

All wrong as it turns out. According to Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige Age of Ultron will feature the returning cast and a few surprises but no Captain Marvel, adding that there is a secret and yet familiar female character set to appear.

Now for the but…(Possible Spoilers)

We know that both Linda Cardellini and Julie Delpy have unknown roles in the film, so is it possible that either of them is playing this mysterious character?

Well, a Hungarian user from the SuperheroHype forum posted a now deleted cast list that includes both actresses characters. According to the unconfirmed list, Cardellini is playing Laura Barton while Delpy is credited as playing Madame B.

In the comics Laura Barton is Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye's wife, and together they have three children named Callum, Lewis, and Nicole Barton.

As for Delpy's supposed character, there aren't any Madame B's in Marvel so if the list is real, she is either a new character or it is a codename for someone else. If she is a new character then your guess is as good as mine, but if it a codename then there are few possibilities. First and the least likely one is Madame Web, who is a long shot I know, but since Spider-Man will appear in a Marvel film… The second one is Lady Bova (minus the cow part), who in the comics not only helped give birth to Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, but also foster them. We know that in Avengers: Age of Ultron the Twins blame Tony Stark for killing their parents, so what if like in the comics Bova (Delpy) raises them?

This is all conjecture based on a list that may or may not be real, but…
